I view therapy as a partnership where clients are provided with a safe and supportive environment so that they feel empowered to make positive changes. I offer individual therapy to adolescents and young adults who experience anxiety, depression, disordered eating, body image issues, low self-esteem, and perfectionism.

I draw from many therapeutic modalities to ensure that each individual gets their needs met and to cultivate personal growth.

As a therapist, my goal is to work alongside you to provide a safe, supportive, and accepting environment. I believe that the relationship between counselor and client acts as a pathway toward growth and healing, so I work to ensure that my clients always feel seen, heard, and understood. I aim to help you find empowerment, overcome feelings of inferiority, challenge negative self-beliefs, and take steps toward becoming your authentic self.

My approach to counseling is an integration of person-centered, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Additionally, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities depending on my client’s individual needs and goals. I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults, and I have experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and life transitions.

When I am not in the office, you can find me trying new restaurants, spending time with my dogs Berklee, Bandit, and Nelly, completing my next home project, or catching up with friends and family.

My primary approach to counseling is an integration of person-centered, mindfulness-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapies. When appropriate I also use expressive art therapy, narrative therapy, or other therapeutic modalities to address a client’s specific wellness or therapeutic needs. My role is to assist you in reaching whatever goals you may have for yourself by providing non-judgmental support and by facilitating your journey in whatever form it may take. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives.

I also taught high school for seven years in an independent school setting. I've received professional development training in executive functioning and learning differences. I now work with students and adults on achieving academic and personal success, while incorporating various strategies into their mental health wellness plan.

As a therapist, I strive to meet people exactly where they are—with empathy, patience, and presence. I work with teens and adults navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, addiction, suicidal ideations, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a safe space where clients feel seen and supported as they explore their stories and take steps toward meaningful change.

My approach is integrative, blending elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered counseling, and narrative therapy. I believe therapy should be tailored to each individual, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify strengths, gain clarity, and build a life aligned with their values. At the core of my philosophy is the belief that people are capable of becoming the change they want to see in their lives.

Naturally warm and calm in my demeanor, I prioritize building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in trust and compassion. Clients often say they feel comfortable and understood early in our work together.

Outside of the counseling room, you can find me on the basketball court, spending time with loved ones, or immersed in music—whether that’s listening, creating, or simply enjoying the vibe.

How does the bandage help the wound heal? It does not kill the bacteria, nor does it force the skin to mend; it simply creates a protected environment where healing can occur.

I believe that a relationship with a therapist is like this bandage. It is a protected relational space that promotes healing through unconditional acceptance, compassion, and honesty. As a therapist my job is to build this kind of relationship with you. Within that relationship, we can do the work of healing: building skills, solving problems, connecting with your strengths, making peace with yourself, finding meaning in the joy and pain of living, and growing toward your authentic and whole self, one day at a time.

While I tailor my approach to the unique needs and interests of each client, my basic approach to therapy is person-centered, drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Before working as a therapist, I began my career as a board-certified chaplain, providing inclusive spiritual care at a behavioral health hospital. There I helped people from all religious backgrounds (and none at all) to use spirituality to deepen their healing. While I am specially trained to integrate spirituality into mental health recovery, I work with many clients who do not choose to center this approach, and I will always customize my approach to you. My areas of interest are depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief and loss, spiritual direction, and life transitions; but mostly I am interested in people, so I will welcome you however you are.

Mentor and Coach

I work alongside children, adolescents, and their families to provide individualized mentoring and coaching that supports growth at home, at school, and in relationships. My approach is strengths-based, developmentally informed, and highly practical, with an emphasis on meeting each child where they are and helping them build confidence, autonomy, and real-world skills.

My work is not therapy, but rather focused coaching and mentorship centered on experiential learning, structured goal-setting, and observation. I help young people develop motivation, emotional awareness, social skills, and daily life skills while keeping the child’s voice, agency, and lived experience at the center of the process.

I partner closely with caregivers to strengthen communication, routines, and follow-through so that progress made in sessions carries over into everyday life. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and my work is designed to complement therapeutic services when appropriate as part of a broader, coordinated care approach.
