Over the last 20 years, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings which has made me the therapist I am today. Some of these places have included community mental health agencies, foster care, hospital environments, private practice and school settings. Through my work with adolescents and their families in the areas of depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorders, I have helped clients to evolve into their best selves. I use my own personal journey to help my clients recognize the value of their own personal story. My unique perspectives and experiences have shaped my treatment approach when working with clients today.

In addition to running a private practice, I am also the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of the Ignite program at the Berman Center, which focuses on adolescents who are struggling with anxiety and depression.

I am passionate about helping individuals develop their inner strength while exploring deeper purpose and meaning in their lives. I enjoy partnering with clients to help recognize their struggles can evolve into a source of personal power. I find it essential in the healing process to work with the individual’s family. Because of my holistic approach, I collaborate closely with schools and other outside providers to provide the best care for the individual.

As a creative person, I enjoy using a variety of therapeutic modalities and draw from various philosophies, including Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral, Rapid Resolution, as well as Various Experiential Therapies.

Over the past several years, I’ve developed a daily practice of yoga and meditation and have experienced firsthand the power that doing so has had on me and my family. Because I wanted to share all of these benefits with others, I became a registered yoga instructor.

Since then, I’ve incorporated mindfulness techniques into my clients’ psychotherapy sessions. Teaching mindfulness to children, adolescents, and their families can be a powerful preventative tool. I also work with schools to help them integrate mindfulness programs into their curriculum.
